An afternoon in National Bookstore Cubao

I went out to National Bookstore Cubao because I wanted to read bits and pieces of books. The Cubao branch is really big and I browsed through the books on the third floor mainly because there were lots of fiction there. I saw some of the chick lit Summit is publishing, as well as Fantasya – wherein Jonas Diego and Jac Ting Lim’s works are included. My sister, who is a fan of a certain Tagalog romance novel writer, asked me to check out if there is a certain series on the shelves, the Lothario series or something like it. Anyhow, I wasn’t able to find that series but I did see some reprints of some books about Object Oriented Programming.

The fourth floor of National Bookstore Cubao is something I find really overwhelming because of the number of books. It is like being in Booksale but make it an entire floor of National Bookstore. Totally overwhelming. I saw a copy of “Soul of a New Machine” in paperback for Php 25. There were lots of biographies and novels. I didn’t really know where to begin searching. Some of the books there looked like they were owned before but some of them look more like old stocks that weren’t sold. It’s almost Christmas time and I think that it is one place you could try looking for presents for your bookworm friends.
