Latest trend to hit Manila

…is getting your cellphone stolen.

Okay, so it’s nothing new. Since the year began, a number of people I know including myself has lost their cellphone. Disappeared. Vanished. Poof.

Not mugged, mind you. Not held up at gunpoint. Vanished from our bags. Damn these magicians.

If you’re commuting, or just hanging out somewhere, keep close watch on your belongings. Or start leaving your shiny new cameraphone at home and tote your dinosaur 5110 instead.

Yup, these people don’t choose celphones actually. Even the old ones - they steal, so I heard :(

worry not, even celebs lose theirs. rachelle ann go during rehearsals at san beda two years ago, jonalyn viray during, of all nights, the pinoy pop superstar grandfinals (the dressing room). but the more trendy thing to do these days is go to a public place, highways and boulevards are popular venues and demonstrate. it’s the in thing. you can quit school or your job and just join rallies. they have free food and even secretly pay participants. it’s the perfect abuse of democracy, kaya nga we don’t deserve such form of government kasi we don’t know how it should really work.
