How To Get A Police Clearance

Step 1:
Go to the right wing of the Quezon City Hall and look for the police clearance area. Follow the instructions listed on the board such as filling out of form, etc. In two words: Amazing Race!

Step 2:
Pass the form to the pesky guy at Window #2. While Window #2 guy insists that your purpose for getting the form is for “Travel Abroad (P200)”, counter-argue that it should be for “Employment, Scholarships, Study Grants, etc. (P100).” Ahh, never mind, Window #2 guy wins!

Step 3:
Pay the necessary fee at the Treasurer’s Office. Don’t underestimate the power of the old looking cashier. Despite his Kuya Cesar voice and his white hair, he is more efficient than the relatively younger ladies who have “under the table” activities which become a cause for delay.

Step 4:
Have your fingerprints taken and be ready to pay P5.00 for the tissue wipes.

Step 5:
Pay P50.00 and have your photo taken at the digital photobooth. Wait for your photos (1 copy 2×2; 2 copies 1×1) to be printed out even if you won’t have a need for them anymore.

Step 6:
Go to the last window, submit your form and wait for your clearance to appear.

Ta-da!

getting a police clearance from the city hall *is* easier, not to mention faster, than getting the NBI clearance. the only thing that would take the most amount of time is the line for payment.
