Manila breaks Breastfeeding record

Manila has broken the world record for the most number of simultaneous breast-feedings. A total of 3,738 mothers simultaneously breast-fed their babies for one minute yesterday to break the world record of 1,135 mothers in a similar event in Berkeley, California in 2002.

The event was aptly called “Sabay-Sabay Sumuso sa Nanay” (Simultaneously breast-feeding mothers) and held at the San Andres Sports and Civic Center in Malate. The event aimed to promote breast-feeding and to educate women on its advantages.

i find the event kinda akward. but hey, i think the message that they’re tying to send (that breastfeeding is still best for babies) definitely is a worthy aim. :]
