Where to be in Manila when the water rises

Here’s a great way of finding out where to invest on that house or condo in Manila. When the sea water rises to about 7 meters, this Flood map shows which areas will be submerged and which will remain above water. Luneta Park, SM Mall of Asia and even parts of the Airport will be submerged. Fort Bonifacio, Ayala and most of Quezon City remains above water.

Very informative, indeed. I’m sure Ayala and co. are enjoying this. :)

this thought also makes me sad. i am now afraid for the members of this society who lives in not so comfortable habitats. i am afraid that floods would make their lives a little harder. i remember, just today, there were a around 20% of my 100++ staff who came late to work basically because they had a hard time commuting to work. i guess it’s quite sad. i believe our dept. of public works and highways should do something about the areas that are prone to floods. i am not even spared from this. even if my place is literally 5 mins away from work, it can take me longer if the rains won’t stop and flood the area where i passby. this has nothing to do with money. i live near an area which is quite one of the most expensive villages in makati but it still floods. you know the don bosco church area…it floods there right? so i’m calling the attention of the officials of DPWH, please do something about this to end the paranoia of most of the manilenos.
