Not Allowed

I visited my alma mater with friends a few weekends ago. We excitedly walked to our old college tambayan and were surprised to see this sign. We wondered how messy eaters the students have become for the school administration to put this up. It’s not your usual “Please throw your trash in the proper bins.” I’m guessing the sign worked because the place was spotless. Then again I don’t remember making a mess with food and gum when my friends and I sat by those steps.

Exactly. That was the first comment my friends and I shared upon seeing the sign.

    “Very Singapore ha.”

the view in the pic is all too familiar – if i got it right, i spent a year or two hanging out on those steps as well…

i think they “banned” eating there two or three years ago – and the guards were really strict about it. i don’t really remember the place being that messy, at least it wasn’t messy most of the time, so i was actually surprised when they put up a ‘no eating’ sign there…

Hi Badz! What years did you hang out by those steps? Perhaps you’re a familiar face!

2002 up to 2003 :) (and then we started with our thesis – no more time to hang out since then, hehe…) :p
