i’ve been sick since tuesday. i had very high fever episodes since that day up to the midnight of thursday. because of the fluctuating fever, i got myself confined in the new medical city (along ortigas ave) last tuesday night. but unfortunately, i was technically admitted by wednesday night. when i arrived in the hospital, they cannot give me a room for it was fully booked. i never thought that hospitals will be fully booked. i thought it only happens to hotels/resorts in boracay during the holy week but not in a hospital. but anyway, i was given a room by wednesday night. the room is very decent. in fact, decent enough to be a hotel rooom. hehehe :-)

anyway, after 3 days of fever, my body was so tired and sick but the fever was gone on thursday midnight. i thought everything would be fine already until my doctor told me that my platelets have been doing down, meaning, i have dengue. i am still here in the hospital posting this entry. (using my laptop and my ever reliable pldt we roam card). i might be able to get out within the middle of the week and i hope so too. been here for already 6 days and i miss my bed. guys, be careful with mosquitoes! for me, i don’t know where i got this. but for sure somewhere where there’s stagnant water. please clean up, it’s not a joke being hospitalized. it’s such a hassle and a waste of money (good thing, my company is paying for everything – it’s one of our benefits and that i have this insurance from ace insurance that pays me P5,000/day of confinement therefore, i have extra bucks by plainly getting sick and being confined. hehehe)

hi! i’m a constant reader of metblogs. sorry to hear that you’re down with dengue. hope you get better soon.

you’re right, it’s not something we should take lightly. i make sure that i apply mosquito repellant on my son before he goes out of the house. but i guess it would be a good idea if me and my husband start practicing the same thing. dengue after all affects not only children but adults as well.

    again, get well soon.

Hey Manix I’m sorry to hear that. I’m getting pretty paranoid myself about dengue. I hope you get well soon.
