Last Mondat, thirteen year old Rachel Gem Suba from Tondo, Manila became part of history as the first fatality in Star City’s Wild River ride. Witnesses say that she stood up from the top of the ride complaining that she was feeling dizzy and shouting for the ride to be stopped. As the boat she was riding on continued down the slope, she lost her balance and fell down the top of the 38 feet high slope. The ride has since been closed although Star Parks – the company who operates Star City – claims that there was no mechanical failure in the ride.
