Gadget Shopping at Western Pasay Road

One of the things that take my mind off my unfortunate plight of not having electricity at home is my new earbuds upgrade which I got from Western Appliance Center in Pasay Road in Makati. Western is one of the biggest distributors of appliances and electronics in the Philippines. Their store in Pasay Road is one if not the newest in their chain. From outside, it looks like a warehouse with a glass facade where you can see everything that they are selling inside. The building’s architecture reminds you of a downsized version of one of the household depots in Alabang or in Ortigas.

What makes this particular branch different is that, i guess because it’s location is not heavy with foot traffic, there are not so many people who go there compared to their brances inside malls. When I went there yesterday during lunch, there were not more than five customers, and most of them were just looking around. You can then be assured, especially if you go there intentionally to buy something, that there will be enough store attendants to take care of your needs. The guy who assisted me was courteous and friendly. He was there helping me from the time I entered the store until I happily made my purchase. I could bet that if I bought a refrigerator he would’ve even took it himself in my car (if I had one) hahaha.

The only thing that almost turned me off was that I was made to wait for almost 20 minutes in the counter when there were only two of us paying. I don’t know if it’s because i’m paying using my credit card or the cashiers were doing more tsismis than actual work. But overall, the experience was pleasant.

So what earbuds did you get? I’m guessing this is for an iPod?

Hey Peter. I got myself a pair of Sennheiser MX 70 Sport. Awesome earbuds. Yeah for my iPod. The stock earbuds are not good enough for me.
