Mr. Rockefeller

I went to Greenbelt the other week because I was craving for the carbonara of MYLK (My Little Kitchen) restaurant. And I was suprised that MYLK wasn’t there anymore…Mr. Rockefeller now occupies the old location of MYLK. Because Mr. R is new, I didn’t hesitate to try it out. I was with my friends and we all enjoyed the food that they’ve served us. Thank you Mellisa (the owner) for the complimentary chips with spinach dip…(now she merits only the good words….hahaha. joke)

Whoa! You got complimentary chips. Me and my gf ate there. There service was bad. When we ordered the 18 spice oysters (well something like that) when we ate it it tasted like normal spinach with cheese. Don’t know if we got the right order though. I just assume they wouldn’t make a mistake since there are only a handfull of people eating there at that time. 2 of the oysters tasted funny and I had the bad case of lbm for 3 days.

The menu itself is not consistent. Lay-out is messed up. Both of us have menus but we had to look which page she’s looking at as to the pages are not the same. Bad print out cuz in my menu the item on was only printed half. And my gf had nothing there at all. One of our orders didn’t came through. They said it was written down but the kitchen never got it. And we had to cancel it because it was still frozen. The manger didn’t even said sorry, even the waiter that was attending us. They just said “sir hindi nakuha nung kitchen yung order, kung gagawin ngayon matagal pa kasi frozen”. That’s it. And didn’t get any complimentary chips. The manger and the cook was a table away from us and they didn’t say a thing.

Oh well the other dishes that we tried was really good. Especially the cappuccino soup. Yummy! And the swordfish was just great.

They get an 8 for me on the taste and food presentation. But a 2 for the service. But I’m willing to go back there to try the other food on the menu. Just hope they’ll have better service next time were there. :-D

Hmmmm… I’ll give it a whirl sometime. I didn’t know MYLK is no longer there. Geez, I haven’t been to GB3 in ages. Thanks for the tip Manix!
