“Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la la la la la…”

Are you decking your halls with the classic Christmas colors — red bows, green wreaths and gold pine cones? I went to SM Megamall last week and was excited by the way they organized their Christmas decor. All the reds were in one corner, the blues in another, the oranges, the purples, the greens… they all had their little colored nooks. It was a very shopper-friendly layout. While each color had its own nook filled with balls, bells and lights, the nooks weren’t too far away from each other should you wish to choose colors from another nook.

At the time I shopped, the shoppers were filling their baskets with decor from their chosen color motif — red was a popular choice. There were also a lot of bodies milling around the oranges and blues. The purples and greens? Not quite.

I had no plans of decorating my home this Christmas. After seeing the gorgeous orange and gold decor, I changed my mind. I can already picture my little home adorned with those gold sprigs and warm balls of honey and cream. Exciting!
