Clearance Sale for Bookworms

Now I’m asking everyone to excuse me for my excessive and blatant promotion of the place, but they say it is only a good product that can (or should) be advertised. And Libreria, the tiny bookstore / patisserie in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, is indeed worth visiting more than once, at least for me.

From what I have confirmed the book and coffee shop is closing this December 16. This is quite sad, and I’ve been offered condolences already. In lieu, therefore, of the impending tragedy, allow me to announce a final clearance sale: 50% off on all items. “Everything,” my friend told me. “Everything in Libreria is on sale. All items for half the price. Go spend the whole of your Christmas bonus on it.”

And spend my Christmas bonus on it I shall do. Maybe Libreria is even where I’m going to do my gift-shopping. The place sells not only amazingly priced special edition books and magazines, but original DVDs and personalized paper / notebook / pen products as well. The exquisite coffee is supplied by the Cordillera Coffee Company, which offers just as good a product to be advertised. I hope to see the bookworms and jaded Starbucks customers there.

Libreria is located at 184 Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City, in between Formula Bar and 7-Eleven.

Yeah, unfortunately, they say rent is too high. I can only hope they’re transferring to a nearby place. =)

They’re closing so soon?! Perhaps they’ll transfer to a place with cheaper rent. Thanks for the info, Migs!

Is this the one beside Fleur Delys?

Hmm. I wouldn’t know where Fleur Dely’s is, but another landmark is the huge McDonald’s at the corner of Roces and Tomas Morato. Libreria is a stone’s throw away from that. =)

Oh no! Is it still open? I wasn’t able to go last weekend.
