Rally guide

My sister in Melbourne told me that before they go out in the morning, they always check the weather forecast so they’d know what to wear and what to bring.
That got me thinking…in Manila, where the weather can either be blisteringly hot or wet and dreary, what we need to check everytime we go out is whether there’s a rally scheduled somewhere.
This came to me this afternoon, while I was inside an FX on the way to UN Avenue in Manila. Traffic was crawling in EspaƱa, right just before the railroad crossing. Belatedly, I realized that 1) It’s Friday (a.k.a. Quiapo Day) and 2) there’s a Pacquiao motorcade. When we reached Morayta, it turns out that the cause of the traffic was a student rally in the middle of the road. Once we got past that, the roads were clear.
Yeah, having a ‘rally forecast’ for the day would be nice.
