A Cold Day in Manila

The weather has been pleasantly cool the past few days. Last Tuesday was said to be the coldest day this city has had in the past couple of months.

I’m not complaining! It’s a welcome change from the heat we’re used to. It feels good waking up to a cool and crisp breeze. Even walks outside the office during lunchtime are more pleasant. And when darkness falls, the cold hits again. It’s not unusual to see some people wearing jackets on the street. But I also see some who stick to their tank tops. Perhaps they’re enjoying the cold as much as they can! Summer’s coming by very soon. I know I’ll enjoy this refreshingly cool weather while it lasts!

Sarap ‘no? The previous days, it’s hot from lunch time till around four pm. But today, it’s not as hot. Wise choice for me for taking a day off. :)

I love the cool mornings and evenings lately. We don’t even turn on the fan and aircon anymore. I’m looking forward to a drop on our electricity bill on the next statement of account.

I just love a warm cup of hot chocolate in the evening.

For the love of God, 19 Celsius (66.2 Fahrenheit) is not classify as ‘cold.’ While it is great to say ‘Cool’ you could say that. However, as a Miamian born in South Florida to me I refer it as ‘mild,’ depending on all factor on ‘Wind Chill’ and Hext Index.’

To reach cold temperature we pronouce the coldness farther than that, far as we human can be naked short while but not more time. At that point all oranges might either suffer or starting to drop from orange trees. Mickey Mouse and Gang would have stay inside Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom of Walt Diney World. Say ‘Cool’ and you will feel forever delightful; say ‘Cold’ and you shall have people say “Huh?”

I am moving to the Philippines in March 2007. At that point I will see what your effect to weather itself.
