I hate traffic! But no matter what I do, I can’t seem to avoid it.

Since I can’t do away with traffic, I just try to while away the time by looking at billboards (I have memorized every detail na yata of every billboard along EDSA), observing commuters, making comments how non-existent is the implementation of traffic rules on the road.

It has been a couple of years since I was in Manila. At that time I figured out that the best was to bring a good novel before putting myself into a taxi. Travelling as a journalist I had to go back and forth in the city a lot for different interviews. My record was to read a whole novel in one day of taxi. Irritating – and nice!
