Don’t swim in dirty water
That may sound logical already but this doesn’t ring true in the heads of lots of kids in the metro. Perhaps this is why the DENR has asked residents not to swim in polluted water especially since temperatures have been leveling around 35 C this summer.
DENR in particular mentioned Manila Bay, Pasig River and Marikina River. Among the things you could catch are cholera, dysentery, amoebiasis, typhoid fever and other skin ailments.
