3 Reasons Why I Love Amici di Don Bosco
Amici di Don Bosco is one of my favorite Italian restaurants here in Manila. Let me tell you why I love this place:
1. Fantastic Italian food. Great pasta, fantastic pizza, heavenly gelato, paninis, sweet desserts… ayayay! The flavors are authentic, fresh and indulgent. My favorites are the Fettucini Alfredo (pictured), Pescatore (pictured), Vongole, Spinach Canneloni, and their Tutta Carne Pizza. For dessert, I highly recommend their vanilla with pistachio nuts gelato. Mmmmmm. There’s also some Pinoy food if you begin craving for a rice meal too.
2. Relaxed and friendly ambiance. Amici is a cafeteria-style restaurant. You go up to the counters, place your order, then wait at your table to be served. Happy conversations and laughter fill the air. This is a great place to get together with close family and friends. I love how the servers are always smiling too.
3. Reasonable price. A pasta dish is around P150, a pizza P250, a gelato around P40. It may be a little pricey, but for the authentic taste of these Italian dishes and the generous servings, I think this is just right. In fact, you might notice that the food at Amici could be even more delicious than more popular Italian restaurants out there. ;)
Buon appetito!

They’ve been under new management though since June 1st. Hope things don’t change too much.
Wysgal: I noticed that the pasta servings became a wee bit smaller. Tasted the same though!
