Terrorist attack in Congress kills 3

The Metro was in full alert last night with police checkpoints spread throughout the city because of yet another deadly blast in Congress in Batasan, Quezon City. The blast which police are tagging as a terrorist attack killed 3 people including Basilan Representative Wahab Akbar while several were injured. His body has been flown to his hometown as of this morning. The House of Representatives though, in a show of strength, will continue with the Sessions today while the South lobby where the explosion occurred has been closed.
