Sex and the Quezon City council

It seems that the QC council is encountering some friction (ehem) from the Catholic Church with their proposed sex
program (also called reproductive program). Anyway, simply put QC council proposes students from Grade 5 to Fourth-year high school be taught reproductive health and this is somehow making things crawl up Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco’s well you know what.

Makati goes green

The first electric Jeepneys are now plying the Metro with two of them servicing locations in Makati. The e-jeepneys are on a limited test phase since the LTO was unable to determine what class of vehicles they were (duh).

Beer, Bands and entire Barangays will be flooding into Marikina Sports Complex tonight because of the Red Horse Muziklaban Finals. The annual battle of the bands challenge started in 1999 and has since helped launch new rock bands into the scene.

Dogeaters opens tonight!

Jessica Hagedorn’s Dogeaters will have it’s curtain’s rise for the first time in Manila tonight. Set during the Marcos regime, the play revolves around a mash of colorful characters and what will ultimately make their paths cross. Check out Atlantis Productions for details on tickets but if they’re sold out for tonight, you have until December 2 to catch it.

Man commits suicide at Trinoma

A local blogger claims witness to a suicide yesterday at the Ayala Trinoma mall in Quezon City. According to news reports, the 24 year old man jumped to death from the fourth floor of the recently opened mall. Blogger “of nervous laughter” has more details.
