Say goodbye to EK

…but only for awhile.

The Euro Star Carnival opened last December at The Fort and will be around until March. I’ve been wanting to go to that place eversince I saw the Kris Aquino (with James Yap! LOL.) ads because I’ve always been a fan of things that go in circles. After all, I grew up spending weekends with my mom and dad at the old Fiesta Carnival back when I was still an only child. :P

A friend says a few European rides at 300 bucks doesn’t seem worth it. Hmmm…any other feedback?

From Manila Bulletin Online (cached):

The Euro Star Carnival will run from Dec. 24 to early next year, so Filipinos have more time to enjoy the amazing rides that have never before been seen in our country. For further inquiries, you can call the Euro Star Carnival Hotline at 727-4084 and 727-4085.

Don’t miss the fun at the Euro Star Carnival at The Fort, Taguig on Dec. 24 and bring out the daredevil in you!

So this is the Euro Star Carnival I’ve been reading about. Php300 per ride?

  2. Drakulita (unregistered) on January 3rd, 2006 @ 10:49 pm

    P300 (with P50 worth of food) = entrance/rides (not all) I think…

  3. nina (unregistered) on January 4th, 2006 @ 1:36 am

Ahh, puede na. Well, compared to EK’s Php500 ride all you can, and less the hassle of driving all the way to Sta. Rosa..

  4. anna (unregistered) on January 5th, 2006 @ 2:32 am

nina: Php550 will get you 20 tokens and also 50-peso worth of food. 6 tokens lang sa Php300 which are good only for two bumper car rides kasi most other rides are like 4 tokens each. Some kiddie rides are two tokens only, though.

drakulita: what a coincidence! i just posted about euro star in my blog (with a mini review). more “star” sightings: i saw richard guiterrez and his gf there last tuesday. ahahaha.

Anna: LOL. Thanks for the price(y!) info. (OT: I used to have lots of fun with a lomocam too but my naughty little brother ripped the cord off! Geeeez.)

thank god i don’t have a little brother then! might be nice to have an older one, though…

I don’t know about the time. Regarding the date the ad says, January-March 2006. I suggest you inquire about the exact details at the numbers provided above. ;)

I think the fees are just right. Even the parking lots. I went to the grand opening and it was really fun. I didn’t pay for the rides but only the entrance fees. What I think will be a waste of money were their popcorn. It isn’t as crunchy as what i expected and less flavor powder they use. Tinipid niya.

hey guys, i just called eurostar at the numbers given above with all the confusion about the rates. i myself went there to ask about the rates last night and they said 400 bucks ride all you can for fri-sun. that includes 50 pesos worth of food. i called today. they verified this. no more tokens per ride. this is really ride all you can NA DAW… :-)

I just came from EuroStar Carnival… P400 bucks for ride all you can + you get P50 worth of food… dats for fri/sat/sun… dunno 4 weekdays… I think ders no ride all u can on weekdays… so go der weekends… food was quite expensive besides the free P50 food… With that P50 youll get an equivalent of 1 hotdog on a stick and a cup of coke… Neway wats good about this carnival is dat all the rides are neeeew and exciting except dat large ferris wheel like dat of EK… wats bad is dat majority of d rides make u dizzy… You will think twice of riding the same ride again in a row… Not like in enchanted kingdom, when you exit the ride u race again to the entrance to ride again… dizzy rides are BOOSTER(cool 360ing ride with a mad European speaking), RANGER(if u shout and ur laway drops, ders a big chance it will go to the person on front of you… heeey it happens so keep ur maout shut hehe) and worst ride for me is the FLIPPER(dizzy dizzy so damn dizzy)… make sure u ride it last… riding it first might ruin ur nyt coz it rily makes u wana puke… 1st ride to be in wen u get der is the JOKER… ur gonna be a certified EuroStar visitor when u hav tested this death-defying ride… whats good about this ride is that it does not make u dizzy buuut it wil make you swear to God dat once the ride is over, ul promise to do the right things in life and be a better person… :) neway just sharing my experience… soorry if my english is barok… Eurostar will be der till March 31 so go der asap… Enjoy and dont puke… Peace… :)

I just called the number posted and YES they have a ride you can rate for the weekdays as well. I think they no longer have the token thingy anymore..So, if you don’t wanna ride all you can rate, you pay the entrance fee of 150php. It’s not inclusive of the P50.00 food coupon unlike the 300. Btw, it’s still 400 for the weekend ride all you can rate… See you in the ferris wheel! :)

Hilo to death! I recommend u guys buying the per token rate. After one ride on that 360 degree anchors away thingy..u’d think twice about that baton..and that improvised octopus….torture!!!!! but if u wana make fun of ur friends barfing..it’s gona be fun!

Hi guys! I went to Eurostar on the grand opening, the week after that, and I’m going again later this afternoon… For those asking about the times, it opens at 5pm-12am on Mon-Thurs, 5pm-2am Fri, and 3pm-2am Sat-Sun/holidays. It’s 150Pesos just for admissions (you could pay tokens inside), and 400Pesos RIDE ALL YOU CAN including 50P worth of food and admissions! The rides are really worth it you guys! Especially the JOKER- good God- it takes guts to ride that thing! Don’t be surprised to see that ride with an empty line, while the rest are full! You’ll understand when you see it. Also, make sure you ride the BOOSTER and the FLIPPER last because those rides would make anyone nauscious. The RANGER on the other hand is comparable to the ANCHORS AWAY in EK except this one does a total 360. The funny thing is that you’ll think you’re done, however, it takes you up again by surprise and holds you upside down for about 30 seconds! Alright, so even if it’s just a portable carnival, the rides are intesnse, great, and new. If they would just allow it to be permanent and polish it up a bit, then it would certainly be much better than Enchanted Kingdom. Now that I’ve seen Eurostar Carnival, EK is just gay.
