Eiga Sai Begins Today

Japanese Foundation Manila brings us Eiga Sai — a film festival that showcases contemporary films from Japan. It is a three-week event. The films wll be shown in Shangri-la Plaza, CCP, and the UP Film Institute. Admission is free.

My knowledge of Japanese cinema is limited to a few films only like Azumi, Battle Royale and Zatoichi. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift doesn’t count. ;) This festival is a great opportunity to be exposed to Japanese cinema.

Just wondering what’ll happen to the other screenings? In lieu of what happened earlier with Typhoon Milenyo, have the schedules beed changed? I’d still love to catch Nine Souls among the other movies I’ve missed. T___T
