What’s Your Flavor?

The makers of BAILEYS® Irish Cream, the world’s original cream liqueur, made history again today with the introduction of Baileys® with a hint of Mint Chocolate and Baileys® with a hint of Crème Caramel. Their launch brings a playful twist to what is already a world best-seller and offers consumers the experience of something different.

Baileys® Irish Cream is a unique blend of quality ingredients – fresh Irish dairy cream, finest spirits, triple distilled Irish whiskey and chocolate flavors – combined in perfectly balanced proportions. It is an award winning taste that has been enjoyed by millions of consumers in over 150 markets around the world for the past 33 years. It is the same award-winning recipe that is now used to make Baileys® with a hint of Mint Chocolate and Baileys® with a hint of Crème Caramel. The key difference is the subtle addition of natural flavors to perfectly complement that same great taste giving peppermint with dark chocolate notes in one and a creamy caramel overtone in the other.

Few people actually know that there is scientific justification to the correlation between our personalities and preferences of flavours…

With the introduction of the brand new BAILEYS with a hint of Mint Chocolate and BAILEYS® with a hint of Crème Caramel, Baileys wants consumers to discover which of the three Baileys flavours – including the BAILEYS® Original Irish Cream – truly matches their character.

“What’s Your Flavour” is a month-long digital viral campaign that involves a fun and quirky questionnaire on www.baileys.com.ph, based on Baileys Flavours Personality Profiles developed by Alan Hirsch M.D., leading smell and taste specialist from the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago.

By going through eight fun, easy-to-answer questions, ranging from “Who are you most likely to share your secrets with” to “What sort of underwear would you like to see on your guy”, you will find out if you are irresistible like Baileys Original Irish Cream, affectionate like Baileys with a hint of Crème Caramel or feisty like Baileys with a hint of Mint Chocolate. The fun does not end here as participants are encouraged to share their Baileys personalities with friends and find out how similar or different they are to you!

Baileys enlisted Alan Hirsch M.D., Director of the Smell and Taste Research and Treatment Foundation of Chicago, to create Baileys Flavours Personality Profiles. Having conducted research on the correlation between flavours and personality for the past 15 years, Dr. Hirsch drew references from various studies to illustrate the personality traits and lifestyle tendencies of people relative to their Baileys flavor preferences.

According to the Baileys Flavours Personality Profiles:

People who prefer Baileys Original Irish Cream: tend to lead very social lives and are driven by their emotion, excel in structured environments, are impulsive in romance.

Those who favour Baileys with a hint of Crème Caramel: exhibit strong levels of integrity, loyalty and dedication, are extremely organized and sensitive, place high importance on being attentive to their romantic partners.

People who fancy Baileys with a hint of Mint Chocolate: are tremendously confident, find great success in business, maintain an obstinacy that if harnessed, can encourage an electrified, highly successful relationship.

N.B. Baileys ‘What’s Your Flavour’ was developed in the Baileys’ spirit of having fun and sharing with friends and this ‘entertaining quiz’ should not be used as a means of labeling or profiling personalities or stereotypes.

Consumers who fill up the “What’s Your Flavour” personality profile on www.baileys.com.ph and fill up the Baileys online database form stand a chance to win a chillout getaway with their friends. The first winner will be drawn in December 2007.
