Bellissimo Ristorante

Great company, a cozy dining place and good food in one of Manila’s restaurant hubs spell a wonderful night. Two Fridays ago I met with some blog pals, mommies who are well into gastronomic adventures.

Dining at an Italian restaurant located at Tomas Morato, Bellissimo Ristorante, was a good experience. The serving time is fast enough and the staff quick to check on our needs. The best seller is their Aglio Olio with anchovies and Pasta Montano.

No wonder the owner of the restaurant, actor Cesar Montano, stamped it with his name. See the picture on the top right. It has a generous filling of cheese, red sauce and sausage. The sausage completes the full flavor of the pasta.

The interior is something of interest. There’s a brick oven, a deli, collection of wines and the paintings on the walls are feasts for the eyes. Try the place when you’re in the vicinity.

I was asked by my friend who took a vacation last month here in the Philippines to look for an Italian resto in Morato. I was able to watch Boy & Kris episode which had featured Cesar Montano’s resto and from the look of it and with Kris delighted look, I finally had my pick.

Me and my pals had a great experience at Bellissimo Resto. I just love their Aglio Olio and their best selling pizza something with Maria(forgot the name). Im looking forward to have my next visit to have a taste of this Montano pasta. My husband will definitely enjoy this sausage filled pasta.
In another note, I would love to have another bite of their great tasting pizzas!

Hmm – this is an intriguing place. I used to have an office in Tomas Morato but never have been introduced to this restaurant! Thank you for the delicious photos. About how much would a nice meal cost per head?

KAREN, It’s good that you and your friends enjoyed dining at Bellissimo. I plan to go back there too with my hubby and daughter and have the Aglio Olio and order the other pizzas they offer. I’ll check out the pizza you’re saying.

MIGS, I think it’s relatively new. Not sure but it’s been around ’07 lang yata. Well, it’s about P300 – P400 per head.

Not recommended. Will not go back again. Food is poorly executed. Expensive. Our bill was padded by about P600, so we had to complain. It does not mean, if the resto is owned by Cesar Montano, is must be good. On the contrary, I am giving this resto 6 months to live. It has no chemistry going on whatsoever!!!

HIRO, Maybe you can try it and have your own review of the place. Tell us how it is this time. I like your blog since I love trying out different restaurants too. :)

MACPOWER, Sorry to hear that you’re experience with the resto wasn’t good.
